Building My Own Path with Local Business Solutions 🚀

Over the past few months, I’ve been diving headfirst into creating custom software solutions for local businesses. It all started back on February 19th when I decided to focus on my passion of building stuff instead of going down the corporate route.

Since then, I’ve been all about helping local businesses with custom software (and building my own software solutions to later sell as a SaaS, but let’s focus on freelance gigs on this post).

Many local businesses lack the tools they need to effectively manage things like equipment and inventory 🛠️. If they do have software, it’s often overly complex and expensive, leaving them with features they don’t really need. That’s where I come in! I create custom software solutions tailored specifically to their needs, providing a more affordable (and effective) long-term approach.

I handle everything from the initial concept and design to configuration and deployment, ensuring that my clients get a personalized solution that truly fits their business. They can rely on me to provide the tools they need, allowing them to focus on what they do best! 😉

When I first started, I thought some requests would be easy to handle, but they quickly turned into bigger challenges (like, a lot bigger 😅). Still, I took them on, learned a ton, and now my clients keep coming back for more features! What began as a side gig earning less than minimum wage is now turning into a solid income where I’m earning a decent rate for the amount of work I do.💰️

To be honest, I could’ve just gone for a regular 9-to-5 right after university, but I chose to take a shot at building something of my own. I wanted to have the freedom to work on my projects, learn on the go, and see where this journey takes me. It’s risky, but hey, when’s a better time to take risks than now? I got literally nothing to lose 💪 and if it does not work out… I will just go look for a 9-to-5…

My worst case scenario is the normal route! 😅

One thing I’ve learned is that there’s a HUGE need for tailored software in these local markets 💡. It’s been a wild ride, with its ups and downs, but the idea of building something from scratch that actually helps people is what keeps me going. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it leads! 🌱
