My 2025 resolution is to build... LESS

yap, you read that right. In 2025 I want to build less... But why?

Building More Isn’t Always the Answer

For the past few years, my freelance and indie hacking journey has been all about building. I’ve poured my energy into products, projects, and experiments, often fueled by late-night coding sessions and an overflowing GitHub contributions graph👇

It’s been a productive ride where I learned (and continue to learn) countless lessons in coding, problem-solving, and launching. 🚀 I don’t regret any of it. But here’s the thing: building a product isn’t enough.

If no one knows about what you’ve built—if there are no users, no feedback, no traction—then all that effort stays quietly in the shadows. And that’s been my biggest challenge since the first launch...

The Plan for 2025: Build Less, Market More

This year, my focus is shifting. Instead of rushing into the next shiny idea, I’m putting the spotlight on marketing what I’ve already built. It’s time to amplify my work, connect with users, and grow something meaningful. 🌱

To kick off this shift, I’ve built Bluesky Copilot—a tool to help me craft engaging, thoughtful posts for text-based social platforms like Bluesky, Threads, and X. Why? Because building a personal brand is the key to reaching potential users and starting conversations around the things I’ve built.

With my new (and old) products, I’m committing to:

• ✍️ Writing valuable articles: I’ll focus on creating SEO-optimized content that answers real questions, solves problems, and drives organic traffic to my website.

• 🌟 Growing my personal brand: By sharing insights, lessons, and updates about my journey on platforms like Bluesky, Threads, and X, I’ll build trust and connect with a wider audience.

• 🔍 Learning what resonates: Using analytics to see which topics bring the most traffic and engagement, and refining my strategy based on that feedback.

By building a strong content strategy and optimizing for SEO, I aim to attract more visitors, engage them, and ultimately turn them into users of my products 🚀.

Here’s to Building Smarter, Not Harder

If you’ve ever felt like you’re building into the void, maybe 2025 can be your year to try the same: build less and market more. Whether it’s sharing your work on social media, reaching out to your network, or talking directly with potential users—your voice matters as much (or more) as your code. 🗣️
